GREEN AND GOLD SALAD
This is easily my best pot luck dish(according to my son). It is a version of the green salad. This is a thrown together version with what I had in the fridge(of course I forgot about cooking till Saturday night.) It’s one of those dishes the men fought over at the potluck table or at the dinner table. In our family, it is lovingly known as “green junk”. I tried to get them to call it “Verte De La Armstrong”, no luck there.
1- large can crushed Pineapple
1- pkg Lime Jello
2-3oz pkg Cream Cheese
1 cp Whipped Cream (or Cool Whip, Dream Whip)
1 cp chopped nuts
Heat Pineapple to boiling point. Add Jello, stir till dissolved. Chill until partially set. Stir in remaining ingredients. Chill till set.
