Snowball Fight- Christmas Dirt Cake!
So I mentioned this type of dirt cake when I posted the recipe. I made a Snow Ball Fight Friday for My boys Christmas party. It was a huge hit. Everyone devoured it and came back for more. I grabbed the wrong bowl when i left the house and I had some pudding mix and cookies left over and i whipped up some peppermint bark pudding with it. And Stretch said the peppermint bark pudding was the best thing at the party.
1 White Cake mix
.5 cup butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese (Philly brand)
.5 to 1 cup powdered sugar
(2) small packages instant vanilla pudding
3 cups milk
12 oz Cool Whip
20 oz White sandwich cookies, crushed very fine (I use the food processor)
Small bag of red and green M & M’s
Small package of Mike and Ikes
Mix up and bake cake mix as described on box. Allow to cool. While that is cooking and cooling, in medium bowl mix butter, cream cheese and sugar with a mixer. In a second bowl mix the milk and pudding. Add the whipped topping to the pudding mixture; combine the two mixtures. Crumble up cake. In a glass bowl, layer cake and cookie crumbs and filling, ending with crumbs on top. Garnish with candies.
I took and mixed the leftover pudding and cookies and broke up 6 pieces of peppermint bark. Served it with chocolate chip cookies.
